Outpatient Drug Rehab

One of the most valuable things about an outpatient drug rehab program is that you do not have to stay at the center. You can go to your therapy sessions and still focus on things like school, work or family. It helps you keep your “regular” life going at the same time that you are getting treatment. Outpatient drug rehab won’t work for everyone, but it can be very effective for some people.

SOL Recovery Center’s drug and alcohol rehab facility offers two types of outpatient programs: intensive outpatient programs and non-intensive outpatient therapy.

Clients in our Intensive Outpatient Programs (“IOP”) receive a total of nine hours of therapy each week, in three hour sessions. Clients usually attend sessions three days per week. Depending on medical and clinical recommendations and insurance arrangements, IOP may last up to 16 weeks.

Non-intensive outpatient therapy may be offered as an aftercare following IOP graduation, or as a primary form of treatment for people who’s addiction is more manageable. Non-intensive outpatient therapy usually includes four hours of therapy each week, which clients receive over the course of two treatment days (two hour sessions).

Who Can Get Outpatient Drug Rehab Treatment?

In general, outpatient drug rehab is available for clients who:

  • Have successfully completed a more intensive program (like an inpatient program) and are now able to reduce their therapy hours
  • Have a less serious addiction or substance abuse problem
  • Are not in a state where they mentally and physically depend on a particular drug and they don’t need round-the-clock supervision by a medical professional

How Does Outpatient Drug Rehab Work?

Outpatient drug rehab provides our clients with the tools they need to work out issues that may have contributed to their development of addiction. At our alcohol and drug rehab center we want to help our clients to build themselves a healthier life free from substance abuse.

Our outpatient treatment programs take a holistic approach. Our clients will receive individual and group therapy sessions, but outpatient treatment may also address issues such as:

  • Family matters
  • Healthcare
  • Parenting skills
  • Job search and employment
  • Legal issues

Our friendly and experienced outpatient treatment team works with our clients to identify any factors that may harm their long-term recovery. This gives our clients a better chance of long-term success.

Factors That Influence Outpatient Treatment Programs

SOL Recovery Center’s outpatient treatment programs looks at any factors that may influence the client’s recovery from addiction, including:

  • Type of addiction
  • Other mental illnesses or medical conditions
  • Physical health
  • Length of addiction
  • Personal and professional commitments
  • Family situation
